Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are contracted with Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medicaid/Husky of CT. You will provide a photo of the front and back of your insurance card and date of birth for insurance verification of eligibility and benefits.

  • I don’t want to use insurance. Do you offer self-pay?

Absolutely, please see our rates here.

  • Do you offer in-person and virtual appointments?

Yes, our clinicians offer both in-person and virtual sessions. Once we determine the best fit for you, or if you have a preferred clinician, our Client Care Administrator will provide the clinician’s availability.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We require a 48-hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you do not cancel in the timeframe or do not show up to your appointment, we will charge the full rate of the individual or group session. Please see full policy here.

  • What kind of clients do you work with?

Clients who are ready for deeper healing and who want to amplify their relationship with themselves and others. Clients who may have tried therapy before but didn’t find it very helpful then but are ready to try again. Clients who are open to somatic work.

  • What if my clinician is no longer a fit for me?

This can happen, it’s much like dating! We encourage you to see your therapist 3-4 times to get a feel. Our clinicians are aware of the importance of a “good fit” and strive to create a safe space where clients can bring this up without judgement or taking your feelings personal.

  • How long will I need therapy?

Therapy is a unique, individual process. It is understandable that we may want to feel better right away! Therapy does not always provide instant gratification but that doesn’t mean the work doesn’t pay off. Everybody’s experience of therapy is different and there is no right or wrong answer to this question. Often, one of the biggest steps can be just asking for help.

  • How do I prepare for my first session?

Once you’ve selected your clinician and your benefits have been reviewed, we will create your client profile using our HIPAA compliant EHR system. You will be emailed a link (link expires in 24 hours) to complete your profile, administrative forms as well as assessments your clinician has selected for you. All documentation must be completed 3 business days before your first appointment.
